Auto-Kill Tasks on Shutdown
Isn’t it annoying how you get bombarded with end task dialogues when you try to shutdown your computer? Here’s how to automatically end all tasks on shutdown, and greatly increase the speed of your shutdowns… Enjoy
1. Open the Registry Editor. You can do so by clicking Start>Run and typing regedit into the box.
2. Before you make any changes to the registry, make sure that you make a backup file. To do so, click File>Export and save the reg file somewhere where you can find it.
3. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop.
4. Highlight the value AutoEndTasks and change the value to 1.
There you go, simple tweak that will speed up your shutdowns!
